Turkey Receives 12 Awards from WorldStar 2021

Turkey received 12 awards in the WorldStar 2021 Competition organized by World Packaging Organization (WPO). The winners for the special categories - President's Award, Sustainability Award, Marketing Award and Packaging that Saves Food Award - will be announced during WorldStar Ceremony that will take place in May 2021.

Organized by World Packaging Organization (WPO) and one of the most prestigious competitions in the industry, WorldStar 2021 results have been announced. Turkey received 12 awards in WorldStar 2021, where 34 countries competed in 12 categories and a total of 345 applications had been submitted. The countries receiving the highest number of awards were Japan with 26 awards, followed by China with 22 awards, USA with 14 awards, ANZ (Australia & New Zealand) with 13 awards and Czechia and Turkey with 12 awards each. The winners for the special categories - President's Award, Sustainability Award, Marketing Award and Packaging that Saves Food Award - will be announced during WorldStar Ceremony that will take place in May 2021.

TURKISH PACKAGING INDUSTRY CONTINUES TO RISE

Mr. Zeki Sarıbekir, President of Turkish Packaging Manufacturers Association (ASD) said, "The Turkish Packaging Industry continues its global rise. Hereby I would like to congratulate all of our award-winning companies. As the packaging sector, we will continue to represent our country abroad successfully. We are proud of said twelve companies who won awards despite the pandemic.”

Mr. Zeki Sarıbekir also mentioned the Crescents and Stars for Packaging 2020 Competition, which they organized as Turkish Packaging Manufacturers Association (ASD). Zeki Sarıbekir said, "Our competition is the only Packaging Competition in Turkey that is internationally competence and recognized. We began this competition to give competitive strength to brand owners, designers and packaging manufacturers in the international markets. Our winners can participate in the WorldStar Competition organized by the World Packaging Organization (WPO) and the AsiaStar competition organized by the Asian Packaging Federation (APF)."
