Turkish Packaging Manufacturers Association (ASD) is a roof organization of Turkish Packaging Industry, enabling an about 350 billion dollars economy with its 20 billion dollars market size. ASD aims to contribute to the development of Turkish Packaging Industry, provide the industry with an identity and to help it achieve a more competitive position in national and international markets.

Carrying on its works with the goal of making Turkey a global magnet for packaging, ASD has been organizing the World Crescents and Stars for Packaging Contest since 2010. As packaging producers, brand owners and designers can take part in the Contest with various innovative packages they release to the market, the event was accredited by World Packaging Organization (WPO) since its inauguration and by the Asia Packaging Federation (APF) for the last five years and is among the most prestigious contests in Turkey.

Since 2015, products from abroad have also been able to take part in our Crescents and Stars for Packaging Contest, which became a national brand and the World Crescents and Stars of Packaging are chosen. As our contest became a national brand in 8 years, we aim to make it a regional contest covering the Middle Europe, Balkans, Middle East, North Africa and Turkic Republics and then an international contest.

The awards of this year's winners in our Crescents and Stars for Packaging Contest will be given at a special Gala Night event in Raffles Hotel Istanbul on Friday, October 12, 2018, where Sertap Erener will perform as well. The winners of Crescents and Stars for Packaging 2018 are entitled to take part in the WorldStar contest, organized by WPO-World Packaging Organization and the AsiaStar contest, organized by APF-Asia Packaging Federation.
