11 Awards Go To Turkey from WorldStar
Organized by WPO (World Packaging Organization), the results of WorldStar 2017 has been announced. Turkish companies were awarded 11 prizes in the competition to which 194 products from 35 countries participated.
Organized for more than 45 years by World Packaging Organization, the WorldStar competition awards prizes to numerous packages from all over the world and the results for 2017 has been announced. 194 products from 35 countries participated in WorldStar 2017 which was organized by World Packaging Organization and the jury committee meeting was held in Vienna. Turkish companies returned from the competition with 11 awards. Germany and Japan received 20 awards each while China received 16 awards. The USA received 15 awards and 12 awards were granted to Spain and UK. Most awards were granted successively to the categories of drinks, food, health and cosmetics.
WorldStar, that represents Turkey with its products that are awarded at least one "Competency Award” at the Crescent and Stars of Packaging competition which became a brand of the Packaging Manufacturers Association, has a significant role in the packaging sector of Turkey. Turkish Packaging Industry which focuses on added value thanks to such international competitions as WorldStar becomes more active and prominent in global competition.
Companies that became successful in WorldStar 2017 competition will be awarded their prizes in a ceremony that will be organized in Düsseldorf on May 4, 2017. The list of companies and packages that were awarded and that will compete in WorldStar 2017 as a result of their success in the Crescent and Stars of Packaging competition in 2016 is as follows:
