72 Thousand Visitors from 130 Countries Came Together in Istanbul

Record Number of Visitors at Eurasia Packaging Fair

72 thousand professionals from 130 countries came together at Eurasia Packaging Istanbul Fair organized on October 12-15 at Tüyap Fair Convention and Congress Center under cooperation of ASD Turkish Packaging Manufacturers Association and Reed TÜYAP. The fair where countless business agreements were signed continue online. The 2023 dates of the fair was announced as October 11-14. 

Eurasia Packaging Istanbul Fair, which is among the strongest fairs in Türkiye regarding sectoral diversity, was concluded. The fair that was organized by cooperation of Turkish Packaging Manufacturers Association (ASD) and Reed TÜYAP Fairs A.Ş. and supported by Packaging Machinery Association (AMD), Label Manufacturers Association (ESD), Flexible Packaging Manufacturers Association (FASD), Carton Board Packaging Manufacturers Association (KASAD), Metal Packaging Manufacturers Association (MASD), Corrugated Board Manufacturers Association (OMÜD) and Rigid Plastic Packaging Manufacturers Association (SEPA) was organized for the 27th time in October 12-15 which was attended by 1100 exhibitors. Numerous business agreements were signed at the fair, which continued for four days and hosted 72,000 professional visitors, including 13,000 overseas from 130 countries.

THE FAIR CONTINUED ONLINE

The doors of Eurasia Packaging Istanbul Fair continued to be kept open online. Online Networking Days would be organized between October 17-28, 2022. While it is expected that new business agreements would be signed at the fair, which will continue online, it was reported that exhibitors and visitors continued their commercial activities in Online Networking Days. With the hybrid fair understanding presented by Eurasia Packaging Istanbul Fair, new collaborations will continue independent of time and place. The fair, which hosts visitors from Western Europe as well as America and Latin America, will be organized between October 11-14 in 2023.

2023 TARGET IS 10 BILLION DOLLARS

Mr. Zeki Sarıbekir, President of ASD Turkish Packaging Manufacturers Association made the following remarks in his statement: “The process of pandemic changed the way of doing business in the world. In this period when the effects of the pandemic have been decreasing and the world have been normalizing, the strong interest received by the fair we organized greatly pleased us. Following the pandemic, the interest in packaged products has increased considerably. We saw the effects of this at the fair as well. We are also experiencing the reflections of the increasing interest on exports. We predict that by the end of 2022 we will achieve an export value of 8 billion dollars as the packaging industry. Under normal conditions, we were expecting to achieve this figure in 2023. However, we will have reached the 2023 target one year earlier. We have already set our 2023 target as 10 billion dollars in export value. We continue our work towards this target. Eurasia Packaging Istanbul Fair, which will be held for the 28th time next year, will take place between October 11-14. We expect an even increased number of exhibitors from more countries to our fair. With our high-quality production and Türkiye's location, the packaging industry is the shining star of the world.”
