ASD Passed on ISO 9001 2015 Standard

Turkish Packaging Manufacturers Association (ASD) has successfully completed the process of passing on ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Standard.

Works of Board of Directors of Turkish Packaging Manufacturers Association under the quality policy that involves commitments for quality management system conditions that are in line with the organization's objective as well as for constantly improving its effectiveness continue.

The association has successfully completed the process of switching from ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Standard, which was first registered in July 2009 to ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Standard.

With the Certification made by Intertek Testing Services, Inc., the Quality Management System registration certificate was issued on September 3, 2018 with the number TK090514-02. The certificate will remain valid until August 16, 2021.

We'd like to mention that the registration's scope continues to be "all association activities that will contribute to the development of Turkish packaging industry (education, information, library services, organization, public relations, publications, exhibitions, contests, international relations and sectoral organization)” and we're proud of sharing this news with you.

European Parliament Members Adopt New EU Carbon Removal Certification Scheme

The new European Union Carbon Certification System, developed to assess the effectiveness, transparency, and sustainability of carbon reduction projects and various technologies removing carbon from the atmosphere, was approved by the European Parliament in April 2024. This certification scheme aims to bolster the EU's efforts to meet its carbon emission reduction targets. 1st Study Visit of DEEP Project held in Belgium and the Netherlands!

The scope of the “Technical Assistance for Assessment of Türkiye's Potential on Transition to Circular Economy” (DEEP) Project that prepares the roadmap for Türkiye's transition to a circular economy; the first study visit was held in the Netherlands and Belgium between 28 November and 2 December 2022 to exchange information on ongoing activities and practices related to the circular economy in the context of resource and waste management in EU countries.

After two years of online ceremonies, May 4 2022, around 300 packaging professionals, representing 37countries, were together to celebrate the winners of WorldStar Award 2022.

APF's 2022 Strategic Planning Meeting Performed Online

The 7th APF Asian Packaging Federation's Strategic Planning Meeting was performed via Zoom Application on 18th April 2022. 18 Awards to Turkey in AsiaStar

Winners of the AsiaStar 2021 Competition where the best packaging in Asia compete are announced. In AsiaStar 2021 where 132 packaging from 14 countries compete, Turkey won a total of 18 awards.

ASD Packaging Academy Continues Training Online

World Design Challenge on Sustainable Packaging Attracts
