Plastic Ban of France is on EU Commission's Agenda

The Government of France passed in 2016 the communique in the French Parliament restricting the sales of products as disposable plastic cups, plates, forks and knives as of 1 st of January, 2020.

According to the decision, only the disposable products made of non-plastic or bio-based plastic or compostable bio-plastics can be sold after 2020.

European Union Plastics Converters (EUPC) has made applications to EU Commission. Evaluating the complaints, Hans Ingels, Head of Department of European Commission Industry, Domestic Market and Entrepreneurship General Directorate brought the complaints to the agenda of the EU Commission.
